Video Script Training
Purpose
Full video script training for short-form storytelling (≤ 120 seconds). Uses a 6-part structure that blends relatability, critique, and self-discovery to create viral-worthy content.
Framework: 6-Part Story Structure
1. Hook (0:00-0:05)
Purpose: Shocking and paradoxical opener that instantly piques curiosity
Characteristics:
- Controversial or counterintuitive statement
- Creates immediate tension
- Makes viewers think "wait, what?"
Example: "I regret improving myself."
2. Set-Up (0:06-0:20)
Purpose: Establish relatable context and habits
Characteristics:
- Describes familiar routines or behaviors
- Creates identification with audience
- Sets up the "before" state
Example: "I used to wake up at 5 AM, hit the gym, do cold showers, nofap—the whole thing."
3. Turning Point (0:20-0:30)
Purpose: Reveal the emotional fallout or dark side
Characteristics:
- Shows what happened when the system broke
- Introduces vulnerability
- Exposes hidden costs
Example: "Then I missed one day and completely spiraled. I felt like a failure for eating a cookie."
4. Deep Reflection (0:30-1:00)
Purpose: Analyze root causes and uncover deeper truth
Characteristics:
- Examines underlying motivations
- Connects personal story to broader patterns
- Provides insight or revelation
Example: "I realized I wasn't chasing growth—I was chasing validation. Every rep was just me trying to prove I was worthy."
5. Critique/Humor (1:00-1:15)
Purpose: Add edge and entertainment value
Characteristics:
- Sarcastically critiques toxic culture
- Names the problem directly
- Keeps tone engaging with levity
Example: "And don't get me started on these gurus selling you 4 AM wake-ups like it's a personality trait."
6. Resolution (1:15-1:30)
Purpose: Land on wisdom without being preachy
Characteristics:
- Offers balanced perspective
- Encourages growth without obsession
- Ends with hope, not platitudes
Example: "Now I still work out, but I do it because I want to, not because I'm scared of who I am without it."
Writing/Speaking Style
Tone
- Relatable and conversational: Casual, everyday phrases like "Let me explain," "Huh. Okay," "What the FUCK does that even mean?!"
- Self-aware and reflective: Critiques own past behaviors and relates them to broader cultural issues
- Emotionally vulnerable: Honest about insecurities and struggles to create connection and trust
Stylistic Elements
- Specific numbers, dates, examples, stories
- Creatively novel frameworks
- Dynamic delivery (combines sarcasm, intensity, realness)
- Strong vocabulary but natural phrasing
- Permission to swear when it amplifies emotion
Key Themes
- Critique of Hustle Culture: Questions the constant grind and glorified self-discipline
- Insecurity and Self-Worth: Reveals how many chase success to cover up self-doubt
- Balance: Self-growth is still valuable—but not when it's driven by fear or insecurity

Viral Success Factors
✅ What Makes This Framework Work
- Relatable Content: Speaks to people in hustle/self-help culture
- Emotional Honesty: Vulnerability builds instant trust
- Controversial & Thought-Provoking: Challenges norms, sparks conversation
- Dynamic Delivery: Combines sarcasm, intensity, and realness
- Specificity: Real-life examples make it memorable and authentic
- Strong Hook: Contradictory opening grabs immediate attention
❌ Common Mistakes to Avoid
- Generic Opening: Don't start with "So I've been thinking..." or "Let me tell you about..."
- Skipping the Dark Part: The turning point MUST show real consequences
- Surface-Level Reflection: Don't just say "it was bad"—explain WHY it was bad
- Preachy Resolution: Balance wisdom with humility; avoid "just do this and you'll be fine"
- Missing the Critique: Audience wants you to call out the BS, not sugarcoat it
Example Analysis
Input Transcript
"I regret improving myself. I used to wake up at 5 AM, hit the gym, cold showers, journaling, nofap, reading 50 books a year—I was that guy. Then I ate a donut one morning and I genuinely felt like I'd ruined my entire life. That's when I realized: I wasn't improving myself because I wanted to grow. I was doing it because I hated who I was without all that stuff. Every rep at the gym was just me trying to prove I wasn't a piece of shit. And honestly? These self-improvement gurus are selling you the same insecurity I had. Now I still work out, still read, but I do it because it feels good, not because I'm terrified of being 'average.'"

Suggestions for Future Videos
- Double Down on Vulnerability: Share even more emotionally intense moments
- Challenge More Norms: Keep critiquing false "guru" advice
- Stronger CTAs: Use viewer-facing lines like:
- "If you've ever felt this way, let's talk in the comments"
- "Follow if you're done chasing someone else's definition of success"
- Add More Humor: Balance intensity with levity where appropriate
- Specific Examples: Use real names, dates, numbers to increase memorability
