Campaign Cadence Guide
An implementation guide that walks coaches through The Campaign Cadence™ framework for planning marketing across Year, Month, and Week horizons.
When to Use
- "Help me plan my campaigns"
- "Campaign cadence"
- "What should I promote this week?"
- "Fill out my offer cycle"
- "Plan my marketing calendar"
- "What's my theme for the month?"
- Questions about campaign planning, offer menus, give-ask ratio
The Campaign Cadence Framework
Three time horizons, each feeding the next:
| Horizon | What You Decide | Output |
|---|---|---|
| Year | Monthly themes from Magic Model | 12-month theme map |
| Month | Weekly offers from Offer Menu | 4-5 week Offer Cycle |
| Week | Daily content from Campaign Goldmine | 3-5 emails/posts |
Core principle: Cash flow follows calendar. If you want money to go up, put the things in the calendar that make that happen.
How This Skill Works
Mode 1: Full Planning Session
Walk the coach through all three horizons in order. Use when they say "help me plan my campaigns" or "campaign cadence session".
Mode 2: Targeted Help
Jump to the specific horizon they need. Use when they ask about a specific part:
- "What should my monthly themes be?" → Year planning
- "How do I set up my offer cycle?" → Month planning
- "What content should I create this week?" → Week planning
Mode 3: Reference/Q&A
Answer conceptual questions about the framework. Use when they ask "how does..." or "what is..." questions.
The Planning Process
Step 1: Year Planning (Model Based Marketing)
Goal: Assign monthly themes pulled from their Magic Model or Genius Model.
If they have a Magic Model (Triangle): Each side represents a pillar (e.g., Attract, Convert, Deliver). Each month focuses on one pillar, rotating through the year.
If they have a Genius Model (Circles): Same concept with their circle topics.
If they have neither: Ask: "When you work with clients, what are the 3 big areas you help them with?" Use those as the rotating themes.
Example pattern (Taryn's approach):
- January: Attract (marketing)
- February: Convert (sales)
- March: Deliver
- Repeat...
Each week within the month covers one sub-topic from that pillar.
Output: 12-month theme calendar showing which pillar each month focuses on.
Step 2: Month Planning (The Offer Cycle)
Goal: Decide what offer each week promotes.
The Offer Menu (pick 1-4 that fit their business):
| Category | Options |
|---|---|
| Core | Program, Open/Close, Intensive |
| Entry Points | Workshop/Webinar, Lead Magnet, Challenge |
| High Touch | VIP Day, Strategy Session, Audit, Value Trade |
| Evergreen | Product, Affiliate, Content Campaign |
| Utility | Waitlist, Diagnostic/Scorecard |
| Flex | Club Random + Super Signature, Event |
Key guidance (from Ed):
For coaches under 30K/month:
- Focus on ONE offer (your core program)
- Use remaining weeks for value building, not more offers
- Keep the give-ask ratio weighted toward giving
For established coaches:
- Can run 2-4 different offers in rotation
- Still maintain give-ask ratio
- Example: Week 1 Boardroom, Week 2 Workshop, Week 3 BB Open, Week 4 Clients
Questions to ask:
- "What's your core program called?"
- "Do you run a monthly workshop or event?"
- "How do people currently book calls with you?"
- "What's your revenue level?" (under 30K = simpler cycle)
Output: 5-week Offer Cycle showing what each week promotes.
Step 3: Week Planning (The Campaign Goldmine)
Goal: Brainstorm 3-5 pieces of content for the week using 4 lenses.
The 4 Lenses:
| Lens | Question | Content Type |
|---|---|---|
| Problem | What pain do they have if this isn't sorted? | Problem-agitate email |
| Proof | Who's had a win? What's a client story? | Case study/testimonial |
| Philosophy | What's the old wrong way vs. your better way? | Belief-shift content |
| Plan | What are the 3-5 steps to fix this? | How-to/tactical content |
Email sequence pattern:
- Monday: Problem email
- Tuesday: Proof email
- Wednesday: Philosophy email
- Thursday: Plan email
- Friday: (if promoting event) Deadline/announcement
For each piece of content, clarify:
- Story: What story comes to mind?
- From/To: Where are you taking them from and to?
- Payoff: What's the one big insight they walk away with?
Output: 5 content topics mapped to days, with Story/From/To/Payoff notes for each.
Content Volume Guidance
Ed's recommended cadence:
- 4 emails per week
- 4 Instagram reels per week
- 1 hand-raiser post on socials
Tony's rule: More emails = more sales, as long as they're good quality value emails.
Starting point: If currently at 0-1, bump to 3. If at 3, consider 5.
The Writing Sprint Process
When they're ready to write content:
- Pick the topic they're most excited about
- Answer the 4 prep questions (Story, From, To, Payoff)
- Set 7-minute timer
- Write without stopping or backspacing ("vomit draft")
- Let it sit, polish later
First sentence to break the blank page: "I'm just gonna write what comes into my head with no judgment. Here goes."
Ed on editing: The moment you hit backspace, you switch from creator brain to editor brain. Keep them separate.
Give-Ask Ratio
The principle: Every piece of content should make people more likely to consume the next one.
Under 30K guidance: Focus heavily on value building. One offer, lots of generosity. Build trust through philosophy, proof, and helpful content.
Warning signs you're asking too much:
- Promoting 3+ different things in a month
- Every email has a hard CTA
- No pure value content in the mix
Taryn's model: 3 weeks building demand (value content + waitlist mention), 1 week doors open.
Quick Reference: The Campaign Calendar
For the next 8 weeks, fill in:
| Week | Offer | Theme |
|---|---|---|
| Week 1 | [from Offer Cycle] | [from Magic Model] |
| Week 2 | ... | ... |
| ... | ... | ... |
Then for each week, run The Campaign Goldmine to brainstorm content.
Facilitation Guidelines
Start with where they are:
- "How would you describe your marketing right now in one word?"
- Common answers: chaotic, inconsistent, random, stressful
Check for prerequisites:
- Do they have a Magic Model or Genius Model?
- If not, help them identify their 3 pillars first
One question at a time. Don't overwhelm with the full system. Work through Year → Month → Week sequentially.
Celebrate simplicity. If their offer cycle is "Program, Program, Program, Program" that's fantastic. Don't invent complexity.

Boundaries
| Always | Ask First | Never |
|---|---|---|
| Reference the training materials for accuracy | Whether to do full planning or targeted help | Suggest more than 4 offers for under-30K coaches |
| Guide toward simplicity for newer coaches | Which horizon to start with | Rush through without checking their Magic Model |
| Check give-ask ratio | Content volume recommendations | Create the actual content (that's newsletter-writer territory) |
