Desktop Notifications

Send a desktop notification:

Copynotify-send "Title" "Your message here"

Active Window Info

Get the currently focused window:

Copyxdotool getactivewindow getwindowname

Clipboard

Read clipboard:

Copyxclip -selection clipboard -o

Write to clipboard:

Copyecho "text" | xclip -selection clipboard

Screenshot

Take a screenshot of the entire screen:

Copygnome-screenshot -f /tmp/screenshot.png

Take a screenshot of a specific window:

Copygnome-screenshot -w -f /tmp/window.png

Notes

• notify-send requires a desktop environment with notification support
• xdotool requires X11 (may not work on Wayland)
• xclip needs to be installed: sudo apt install xclip
